The United States has warned citizens of Afghanistan not to go to Kabul airport and approach its gates, due to potential security threats, according to "Russia Today".

The United States Embassy in Kabul stated, in a security alert issued today, Saturday: “Due to potential security threats outside the gates of Kabul Airport, we advise American citizens to refrain from going to the airport and approaching its gates at the present time unless you receive personal instructions in this regard from a representative of the states government. United".

And the media confirmed that the forces deployed at Kabul airport used tear gas and fired bullets in the air with the aim of dispersing crowds of Afghans who wanted to leave their country after the Taliban took control of Kabul.

This comes despite the Pentagon's announcement that the situation at the airport is "stable".
