Hand Federation: Qualification for the Olympics semi-finals is a natural result

Moamen Safa, a member of the Egyptian Handball Federation, revealed that the national team qualified for the Olympic semi-finals, which is currently being held in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, as a result of the nature of the development of the game in Egypt in the recent period, at the level of the first team or youth and junior teams.

Safa said in televised statements to the Ontime Stadium program, on Ontime Sports, with the journalist Ahmed Schubert: "We are the world champions in youth and youth and the seventh in the world in the first team, and qualifying for the semi-finals is a great but expected achievement, and we will not be satisfied with reaching this role."

And the member of the Hand Federation continued: "We do not want to exaggerate the joy because it is still a long way. The players closed the page of Germany despite the strong and distinguished performance against the world champion for three previous times, but we have our horse team and we are preparing well for it, and the players are determined to move forward in the tournament."

The Egyptian handball team achieved a historic victory over its German counterpart, 31/26, in the match that was held today, Tuesday, in the quarter-finals of the handball competitions at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, to qualify the Pharaohs to the semi-finals of the tournament.

The Egyptian handball team faces its French counterpart in the semi-finals after the French handball team won a broad victory over the Bahraini team 42-28 in the match that brought the two teams together at dawn today, Tuesday, in the quarter-finals of the Tokyo Olympics handball.
