British commentator on Salah: His goal against Norwich earned him a place in the perfect team for the first round

Former England international Gareth Crooks of Tottenham Hotspur and sports commentator for the British network "BBC" spoke about the Egyptian Mohamed Salah, the top scorer of the Liverpool team, after his great brilliance in the last match against Norwich City and his leadership of the Reds to achieve a 3-0 victory at the beginning of the team's campaign in the Premier League.

"Salah's goal and assists against Daniel Varkey's team earned him a place in the ideal team for the first round," Gareth Crooks said in comments reported by the "Liverpool Echo" website.

Crooks added: "The way the Egypt international set himself up to receive the ball with his left foot and plant it perfectly in order to shoot the ball past Tim Kroll, before one player moved from Norwich, was pure genius."

"Regular readers will know I've had problems with Salah before, but not against Norwich," Crooks stressed. "I haven't seen any sign of selfishness in front of goal or looking for cheap penalties."

Salah scored his first goal in the Liverpool shirt in the Premier League, on August 12, 2017, when Liverpool tied Watford 3-3 in the match that brought them together in the first round, where Mo managed to score the third goal in the 57th minute of the match.

Mohamed Salah also scored a goal in Liverpool's 4-0 victory over West Ham in the match that brought them together on August 12, 2018, in the first round of the English Premier League competition.

Salah continued his brilliance in the opening matches when he scored a goal in Liverpool's 4-1 victory over Norwich City, in the match that brought them together in August 2019 at "Anfield", in the opening matches of the new season of the English Premier League.

Last season, Mohamed Salah scored 3 "hat-trick" goals in Liverpool's 4-3 victory over Leeds United, in the match that brought them together at "Anfield", and Mohamed Salah became the only player in Liverpool's history in the Premier League, who scored in the opening match of the League. With his team, 4 times consecutive seasons.
