Expectations of a rise in global oil demand in the third quarter of 2021 to 98.2 million barrels per day


Preliminary estimates indicate an increase in global oil demand during the second quarter of 2021 to reach about 95.3 million barrels per day, an increase of 2.5% compared to the levels of the previous quarter, according to the monthly report on petroleum developments in global markets.

 

The demand of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development countries rose by 4.1 percent to reach about 44.5 million barrels per day, and the demand of the rest of the world rose by 1.1 percent to reach about 50.7 million barrels per day, according to the report issued by the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries during the current month.

 

It is expected that global demand for oil will rise during the third quarter of 2021 to reach about 98.2 million barrels per day, as the demand of the group of OECD countries is expected to rise to about 45.5 million barrels per day, and the demand for the rest of the world is expected to rise to about 52.7 million barrels per day. .
