Alsumaria TV: Iraq is declining globally and Arably in cybersecurity

 The Digital Media Center in Iraq announced that Iraq has regressed in the Global Cybersecurity Index issued by the United Nations agency specialized in information and communications technology, the International Telecommunication Union.

The center said - in a statement reported by (Alsumaria News) news channel - that "Iraq has fallen 22 places globally from the latest statistics, as it ranked 129th globally in the cybersecurity index out of 182 countries, while it was in 107th place in the previous report." He stressed that cyber security and the protection of Iraqi citizens' data is an integral part of Iraqi national security.

He added that Iraq also fell 4 ranks in the Arab world, ranking 17th ahead of (Mauritania, Somalia, Comoros, Djibouti, and Yemen), calling on the Iraqi government to form a special institution or body concerned with cybersecurity issues and everything related to this aspect.
