Euro 2020 .. Hummels: My son celebrated my goal against Germany by mistake

Germany defender Mats Hummels revealed that his son celebrated the goal he scored against his country, which gave France a 1-0 victory at the start of the two teams' campaigns in the European Nations Cup "Euro 2020".

The 3-year-old Ludwig Hummels celebrated the goal scored by his father during the match, as he did not realize that it was a goal for the opposing team, while he decided to celebrate because his father scored the goal.

Hummels said in statements published by the German newspaper "Bild": "I am grateful that he does not yet know the reverse goal.

"I was told he was celebrating, I will have to explain it to him," he added.

Hummels had mistakenly put the ball past goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, when he tried to block a pass from Lucas Hernandez.

The German national team will meet its Portuguese counterpart at 6 pm tomorrow, Saturday, in the “Group of Death” competitions.

The Portuguese team leads Group F with 3 points, equal with France, with a goal difference only, and the German team is third without any points and one goal in the net, while Hungary is bottom in the group in fourth place without any points and 3 goals against.
