Ahmed Mujahid: Mohamed Salah's participation in the Olympics is "ambiguous" and we are trying to convince Liverpool

Ahmed Mujahid, head of the Tripartite Committee for the Football Association Administration, confirmed that coordination will be made with Al-Ahly and Pyramids regarding the inclusion of their players if the two teams reach the final of the African Championships to include their players in the Olympic team, and the name that is excluded from Al-Ahly or Pyramids players will be in agreement with the technical staff of his team.

Mujahid said, in statements to the "Audience of the Third" program on Ontime Sport channel, that there is no problem in including the Pyramids players in the Olympic team if they reach the Confederation final, because the match is on July 15.

He revealed that the announcement of the final list of players registration will be on June 30, and Shawky Gharib will not put in his accounts a player who will not guarantee his presence in the final list, and the player who has no room for his presence with the Olympic team in the Olympics will not be registered, as well as the player who will not register will not be with the Pharaohs at the Tokyo Olympics.

He continued: We are working on the file of Mustafa Mohamed’s presence in the Olympics, especially that the player is keen to participate in the Olympics, adding that Mohamed Salah’s position in the Olympics is still ambiguous, and we will make a last attempt with Liverpool to obtain his approval for Salah’s participation with the Olympic team in the Olympics.

He indicated that if the transfer of a player from a local club to another is separated in his contract by the Football Association, and if his transfer is from a local club to an external club, the matter is different, and I have no knowledge of Ferjani Sassi’s case regarding the date of the expiration of his contract with Zamalek, and no one addressed me regarding this case, stressing The Football Association did not ask Hossam El-Badri, coach of the first team, not to play friendly matches during the current international break.
