Tunisia maintains night curfew hours from 10 in the evening until 5 in the morning

The Committee to Combat Coronavirus in Tunisia announced Friday that it will maintain preventive measures against the virus, including the night curfew, starting from ten in the evening until five in the morning.

Ministry spokeswoman Nassaf bin Aliya said in a press conference that the procedures will be extended for an additional two weeks, with the possibility of imposing quarantine on some areas in the event of an outbreak of the new mutated strain of the Corona virus.

Ben Alia stated that the epidemiological situation in the country as a whole has been witnessing a state of stability for three weeks and a decrease in the number of injuries.

The spokeswoman stated, "Our hope is to vaccinate so that we can obtain herd immunity to limit the spread of the virus to very low levels by the summer."

For his part, a member of the Hashemite Corona Virus Control Committee, the minister, indicated that about 40,000 people have received the vaccine to date.

Tunisia, which witnessed the death of 8,684 people due to the virus, began a vaccination campaign about two weeks ago, to first include health workers and those over the age of 75.
